Instrumental Jazz
Omar Kemet, leader and founder of the group is an accomplished musician and has played the piano and keyboard for over 20 years.
Some of his many credits include songwriter and producer at RTE Records, an independent record label in Los Angeles, California. He appeared on the television hit show “Soul Train” with Kenny Lattimore, and has performed with Eddie Griffin, Actor and Comedian.
Currently, Omar can be found performing regionally for Cincinnati’s Smooth Jazz Artist, Ms. Jaz. He also appears with JAMSET, another Cincinnati Instrumental Smooth Jazz group.
A graduate of Cincinnati’s School of Performing Arts and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music Jazz Department, Omar spends a lot of time working with and teaching students in an afternoon school program for the Cincinnati Public Schools.
